Strategic Partnership Framework Between OTMA and Private Hospitals

Jun 24, 2026
Strategic Partnership Framework Between OTMA and Private Hospitals

As OTMA, we aim to establish strong and strategic partnerships with private hospitals operating in the medical tourism sector. Within this framework, we seek to support our partner hospitals in obtaining international accreditations and certifications, including JCI, ISO 7101:2023, ISO 9001, and other globally recognized standards, ensuring that their services meet international quality requirements.

We also plan to establish joint working groups to develop transparent and comparable evaluation mechanisms and service delivery standards. Our objective is to position Azerbaijan as a regional hub for medical tourism and to equip our member hospitals with the infrastructure and credibility required to attract and serve international patients.

Another area of cooperation we offer to hospitals is facilitating direct connections with foreign insurance companies, healthcare facilitators, and medical tourism operators. OTMA intends to create collaborative platforms that support integration into international patient referral networks, while also providing guidance on logistics, including visa procedures, transportation, accommodation, and patient journey management.

In addition, we aim to organize joint marketing and promotional campaigns to showcase Azerbaijan’s strengths in thermal medicine, rehabilitation services, advanced surgical procedures, and specialized healthcare treatments on a global scale.

A further key area of support involves education and workforce development. We plan to deliver certified training programs for hospital personnel in areas such as medical tourism coordination, international patient relations management, customer experience, and intercultural communication. Through our ongoing policy dialogue with relevant government institutions, we actively advocate for the improvement of legislation and incentive mechanisms that support the growth of medical tourism and create favorable conditions for healthcare providers.

OTMA is committed to ensuring that our partner hospitals are not only service providers but also equal and active stakeholders within the international medical tourism ecosystem.

At the same time, due to our close relationships with private hospitals across Azerbaijan, OTMA is well positioned to identify patients requiring treatments and healthcare services that are either unavailable or limited within the country. We have successfully facilitated referrals of such patients to leading healthcare institutions in Türkiye, Europe, and CIS countries. Establishing formal cooperation agreements between OTMA and healthcare providers abroad would further enhance the credibility, efficiency, and sustainability of this referral process, while strengthening international trust and long-term institutional partnerships.
